On the day of Mauni Amavasya, there was a huge jam on the Pratapgarh-Prayagraj road. The villagers had set up a bhandara in front of Meena Patel Hospital in Malak Chaturi village under Soraon police station area to serve the devotees. The villagers said that the work of making roadside prasad was started from Thursday morning for the devotees returning after bathing.
On the other hand, the police asked to remove it, but the Bhandara was being built, so the removal was delayed. In the meantime, the police put ashes in the food stockpile. After the video went viral, the police swung into action. In the video, Soraon police station in-charge Brajesh Tiwari is seen filling ash in a large pudding and putting it in Bhandare’s prasad. He got angry and left. “After the departmental inquiry, the charge will remain with the acting SHO till the new in-charge comes,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Gangapar) Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said.
