UP gets 19,858 crores in the railway budget, railway tracks will be equipped with Kavach system

All the railway lines of UP including North Central Railway will be equipped with Kavach system. A target of six years has been set for this. To make UP train accident free, the 4.0 version of the latest technology Kavach will be installed on the track. This information was given by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to the officials and journalists of North Central Railway through video conferencing on Monday. General Manager Upendra Chandra Joshi later shared the information in detail at the North Central Railway Headquarters.

The Railway Minister, who was present virtually, said that Rs 7,695 crore will be spent on 157 Amrit stations in UP. 1,568 rail flyovers and underbridges have been built since 2014. A budget of Rs 19,858 crore has been allocated for rail development in UP, which is 18 times more than the Rs 1,109 crore in 2009-14.
