The Jai Shiv Shankar Club has been organizing Ganesh Puja here for the past 28 years. Unlike other places, the idols here always carry a distinct uniqueness.Every year, the puja pandal showcases idols crafted with innovative ideas. This year, the idol has been prepared with around 2,500 bangles along with a few traditional colors to enhance its appearance. The main artisan Purushottam Kata, along with Suresh Nial,Prakash Nial,Rajan Kata, and Rohit Nag,worked tirelessly for nearly a month to design and shape the idol as well as to decorate the stage. The artisans, who have been creating idols with different materials for 28 years, shared that the concept changes every year to spark curiosity and devotion among the visitors. In the past, the idols were crafted from colorful fruits, paddy husk, different kinds of leaves and camphor of various shades and textures. Interestingly, the club officials never interfere in the creativity of the artisans, allowing them full freedom to design a new form each year. After the Pran Pratishtha ritual on the 27th, the bangle-made Ganesh idol has been witnessing a continuous rush of devotees, eager to catch a glimpse of this artistic marvel.
