In view of the heavy rush for Mauni Amavasya bathing, the principal bench of the Allahabad High Court at Prayagraj has been given a holiday on January 28, 29 and 30. According to the notice issued by Registrar General Rajiv Bharti, this holiday is only for the principal bench at Prayagraj. Instead, May 17 and August 23 will be working days.
Vacation in CAT till January 30 In view of the crowd of Mauni Amavasya, the Prayagraj bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has also been declared a holiday from January 28 to 30. As per the notification of Kanchan Sharma, deputy registrar of the principal bench, April 5 and April 26 will be replaced by working days on May 3, CAT Bar Association general secretary Jitendra Nayak said.
Schools closed till February 3 In view of the tremendous crowd at the Kumbh, all schools up to class-8 have been closed from January 25 to February 3 in the urban area of Prayagraj. Students will be learning online.
